Senior AI Strategist · Governance Advisor

When AI is no longer optional.

I'm the senior advisor mid-market and enterprise companies bring in when they need someone who has actually built it, understands governance, and can translate it to the boardroom.

Start with a 15-minute intro to see if we're a fit, or jump straight into a working conversation on a specific decision.

What I Bring to the Table

Four decades of pattern recognition. Hands still on the keyboard.

Pattern recognition

40 years of separating real from hype across every major tech shift. I've seen what sticks and what doesn't.

Hands-on builder

Daily multi-agent orchestration, RAG systems, and production AI. Not just strategy — implementation.

AI governance instincts

Former HIPAA Privacy Officer. Deep understanding of SOX, regulatory frameworks, and the AIGP landscape.

Fluent at every level

Architect, operator, boardroom. I translate between technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Willing to say no

Not everything needs AI. I'll tell you when to wait, when to build, and when to walk away.

Hand work off, don't take over

I build capability in your team. The goal is independence, not dependence.

Signature Offering

The Brain Trust

Five AI advisors. Five different thinking lenses. Five different AI models, deliberately chosen so no single model's bias dominates. Each advisor analyzes independently, then peer-reviews the others' work. A Chairman synthesizes everything into one direct verdict.

This isn't a chatbot. It's a structured deliberation process that surfaces blind spots, challenges assumptions, and delivers a synthesized verdict with clear reasoning. I use it daily. I build custom versions for clients.

Practitioner-Grade AI Fluency

Building multi-agent AI systems and AI-assisted workflows using Claude, GPT, Gemini, v0, GitHub Copilot, and Vercel — advising as a working practitioner, not a theorist.

Clearwire IPO

Delivered year-one SOX IT compliance with zero "material" or "significant" findings in under 5 months at 95th-percentile cost vs. peers (KPMG / Deloitte audit management).

InDemand Interpreting

Stood up the full HIPAA program — Privacy Officer designation, policies, training, and BAAs — supporting ~$10M in annual revenues.

Transparency

Not the right fit

I'm not looking for C-level titles or people management responsibilities. I'm an individual contributor at heart — I do my best work close to the problem, not in meetings about meetings.

I'm also not the right fit for small businesses or solopreneurs looking for quick AI implementations. The work I do requires organizational complexity and budget to match.

If you need someone to run a team, manage vendors, or oversee a department, I can help you find that person — but it won't be me.

About

The short version

I've been in tech since 1985 — four decades, nineteen companies. AI is now all I do.

My background is unusual: deep enterprise roots at Amazon, T-Mobile, AT&T Wireless, lululemon, Clearwire, InfoSpace — paired with active, hands-on practitioner fluency in today's AI tools, multi-agent systems, and governance frameworks. Former designated HIPAA Privacy Officer. SOX IT lead for an IPO-stage public company. IAPP AIGP in progress.

I work remote or hybrid from the Spokane / Coeur d'Alene / Sandpoint corridor.
